A graduate of Queen's University Belfast, I spent 24 years in the textile printing dyeing and finishing industries, mostly at a senior technical and management level. I then changed to the I.T. industry, where I spent the next 22 years, again at a senior technical level.
I retired from employment in 2003 and have built up a personal business based upon a hobby which I first took up in 1993 - repair of fine china, pottery and other ceramics.
The Satsuma below was the first important piece I restored, in 1994. It had been repaired before, and was in six pieces, with bits missing from the fisherman's coat and hand, the monkey's paw and some of the octopus's arms.

Since I set up my business, I have repaired or restored over 1100 items
Where to find me
I live in South Belfast and most of my work comes from places within easy reach.
If you want to find your way here, leave central Belfast by the Ormeau
or Ravenhill Roads, or follow the signs for Newcastle (A24). About three miles out of the
centre you will pass Forestside Mall (look for Sainsburys) on your left. Continue on up the hill for
a further mile; there is a footbridge across the road as you come to the top of the hill.
Turn right IMMEDIATELY after the footbridge and keep on round to the right; you are now
in Glenhugh Park. Number 25 is on your right, down a steep drive with a white fence.
